Citizens of France are entitled to a life of decorum, free of the language and actions of the barbaric hordes. In order to ensure this, the Gardiens des Invalids are responsible for encouraging and maintaining a civil and proper environment for the citizens of Paris. They should be required to be learned in the proper use and display of etiquette, language and behaviour. They are duty-bound to make visits to popular gathering places and be alert to the messengers which traverse the land, as well as ensuring that they make both frequent and regular occourances themselves.

Gardiens des Invalids will be provided with all necessary assistance by their fellow law-enforcement officials to enable them to maintain a proper environment, free of language and actions that do not befit our time and place, whether these actions be in public, or via the Messenger Services. They are to inform Royalty as to those beyond their ability to control so that the offenders may be enrolled in remedial etiquette courses or removed to the nearest vacant cell to ensure the peace and well being of others.

The Gardien des Invalids commands a salary of 5000 livres per month, with 1000 in costs. The post grants you 2000 social points and 500 honour per month, with a gain of 13 on your health. Eight people can occupy this position. You need a social level of 18, but not greater than 60 to occupy this position. Your title must lie between Marquis/Marquise and Duc/Duchess to retain this position. This position allows you to hand out eleven level one, five level two and three level three favours per season. When applying for this position, you need to submit proof of worthiness in the form of written Favours whose total levels equal or exceed 90.
