This position holds the ability to join the Guide workforce and earn recognition and rewards for service well rendered. It allows Guides the chance to earn the benefits of Guide de Service, Guide de Distinction, or Guide d'Honneur. Guides perform a well-respected and valuable service in Paris. They have been trained and instructed on how to properly meet, greet, and introduce new arrivals to the City of Paris. They assure that newcomers have proper names, direction and supplies to join Paris society. Once appointed, Guides must adhere to the strict standards and rules set by the Captain des Guides.

The Guide commands a salary of 0 livres per month, with nothing to pay in costs. The post grants you 0 social points and 100 honour per month, with a gain of 0 on your health. Any number person can occupy this position. You need a social level of 3, but not greater than 100 to occupy this position. This position does not grant any favours. This position is awarded on merit, not by application.
