The Head Blacksmith is responsible for all of the Blacksmiths that work within the King's Court. It is his responsibility to appoint worthy Blacksmiths and dismiss wayward ones. The Head Blacksmith is not expected to create new swords, but is as liberty to do so. The Head Blacksmith takes a seat as the Circle of Mater Craftsmen, and is highly respected for his previous smithing.

The Master Blacksmith commands a salary of 12000 livres per month, with 3150 in costs. The post grants you 12000 social points and 500 honour per month, with a gain of 27 on your health. One person can occupy this position. You need a social level of 75, but not greater than 100 to occupy this position. Your title must lie between Duc/Duchess and Grand ArchDuc/Grande ArchDuchess to retain this position. This position allows you to hand out four level one, two level two, two level three, two level four, two level five and one level six favours per season. When applying for this position, you need to submit proof of worthiness in the form of written Favours whose total levels equal or exceed 114.
