Master Goldsmith

The position of Master Goldsmith in the Palais Royal. The Master Goldsmith is responsible for ensuring that Royal Court and citizens of Paris have available to them the most noble and precious jewelry. As such, the Master Goldsmith must become and remain familiar with current goldsmithing and jewelry making techniques, always keeping a keen and critical eye upon the works of the other jewellers. Highly respected for past work, the Master Goldsmith holds a seat within the circle of Master Craftsmen and while not required to create new designs is at liberty to do so.

The Master Goldsmith oversees the work of all Royal Jewellers and is expected to dismiss those with substandard work or attendance and to announce and oversee the search for replacements when there are vacancies. The Master Goldsmith is usually selected from those who have excelled in a past position as jeweller

The Master Goldsmith commands a salary of 15200 livres per month, with 3750 in costs. The post grants you 18000 social points and 500 honour per month, with a gain of 25 on your health. One person can occupy this position. You need a social level of 75, but not greater than 100 to occupy this position. Your title must lie between Duc/Duchess and Grand ArchDuc/Grande ArchDuchess to retain this position. This position allows you to hand out five level one, four level two, three level three, three level four, two level five and one level six favours per season. When applying for this position, you need to submit proof of worthiness in the form of written Favours whose total levels equal or exceed 150.
