Towel Fight
by: Jeanna de Valois

After a playful afternoon bath, the ArchDuc and I engaged in a bit of horseplay around the guest bedroom. While he was taking his time to get out of the tub, I took my towel off to stretch it out before me, holding opposite corners. I twisted the towel in my hands then released the pressure as I smacked poor Charles on the rump. He retaliated, of course, and this led to some quick dodging around the bathtub and our poor manservant.
Several good towel lashings were dealt to both sides. It was all in good fun of course. Charles decided it might be best to dive behind the tub as I wheeled around the corner ready for yet another round. Unfortunately the old man still has some reflexes left in him. When I smacked his bottom again, he jumped just enough to hit his head on the lip of the tub. There ended the horseplay, which turned quickly into comforting and cuddling as I tried to hold back a grin.
