Spinach in Pastry

2 cups cheddar cheese
2 tbsp spinach liquid
3 tbsp cream
2 eggs
1 lb cottage cheese
1/2 lb spinach
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp each cloves and nutmeg
salt and pepper
homemade or ready made pie crust

Wash and clean spinach. Heat a pan of water to boiling, plunge spinach into water for 2-3 minutes, drain. Squeeze dry, reserve liquid. Finely chop spinach. Finely grate cheddar cheese. In a mixing bowl combine cottage cheese, spices and grated cheese. Beat eggs and cream together, pour into cheese mixture. Fold in spinach. Roll out pastry dough, place part in two 9" pie pan. Add filling. Use rest of the pastry to make lattice work on top of filling. Brush melted butter on top of pie. Bake in a 350° for 35-40 minutes until top is brown.
