The Governor of the Bastille is ultimately responsible for all matters surrounding the Prison. The Governor has direct command over the Jailors of the Bastille and can dismiss or appoint this position at whim. Although a powerful position, it also carries with it many risks. Many Governors have eventually found themselves as inmates of the prison for failing thier duty to the King.

The Governor of the Bastille commands a salary of 10750 livres per month, with 1550 in costs. The post grants you 5000 social points and 750 honour per month, with a gain of 20 on your health. One person can occupy this position. You need a social level of 50, but not greater than 75 to occupy this position. Your title must lie between Duc/Duchess and Grand ArchDuc/Grande ArchDuchess to retain this position. This position allows you to hand out ten level one, seven level two, five level three, four level four and one level five favours per season. When applying for this position, you need to submit proof of worthiness in the form of written Favours whose total levels equal or exceed 180.
