The Lieutenants des Guides are responsible to ensure that all newcomers to Paris are properly greeted, respectfully treated, and introduced to the city with such assistance as may be required. In order to perform this function, the Lieutenants are responsible to ensure that all Guides are properly trained, and that each is properly performing their duties. The Lieutenants will report to the Captain des Guides any Guide who is deficient and will from time to time with the approval of the Captain perform evaluation of each guide. Not merely supervisory, each Lieutenant will lead by example, guiding newcomers as appropriate and required and as such will maintain at least 250 guide points per week.

The Lieutenant des Guides commands a salary of 14000 livres per month, with 750 in costs. The post grants you 16000 social points and 1600 honour per month, with a gain of 25 on your health. Three people can occupy this position. You need a social level of 20, but not greater than 100 to occupy this position. This position allows you to hand out fifteen level one and ten level two favours per season. This position is awarded on merit, not by application.
