Small Sachet Squares

12" x 24" piece of fabric
Matching thread
Lavender or potpourri
Pinking shears
Sewing machine

One piece of 12" x 24" fabric will yield 36 tiny sachets!

1. Cut the fabric into two (2) 12" squares with pinking shears. Place the two (2) squares together, right sides out and press.

2. Using an air or water soluble marking pen, chalk or light-coloured pencil, mark off 2" squares.

3. Machine stitch 1/4" away from all vertical lines, on both sides of the drawn lines and along both vertical edges

4. Machine stitch 1/4" away from the horizontal lines above the lines only and above bottom edge.

5. Cut strips across fabric on horizontal lines using pinking shears. You should now have six (6) 2" x 12" strips with a total of thirty-six (36) little pockets.

6. Fill pockets lightly with lavender or potpourri. Pin to hold filling in pockets.

7. Stitch top of pockets 1/4" away from top edge. Remove pins. Cut apart on vertical lines using pinking shears. You now have thirty-six (36) completed, small sachets!
