Making this delicious cream has a duel purpose, as you can put it on anywhere for the pleasure of its scent and enrich your skin while you’re at it. 5 1/4 ounces emulsifying ointment (available from a pharmacy or online source) Melt the ointment and glycerine very gently in a bowl over a pan of boiling water (or in a double boiler), then add in the oils and orrisroot and continue to heat for about 15 minutes. Strain through muslin and cool a little before putting into jars using a broad palette knife: place the cream around the edges first, then fill up the centre. |
