A Tax Collector is employed by the Crown, and is responsible for collecting tax from all citizens who are owing. A firm resolve is required for any who seek this position as you will often be treated with disrespect or even hatred from those who are unwilling or even unable to pay the taxes owed.

The Tax Collector commands a salary of 9000 livres per month, with 1000 in costs. The post grants you 4500 social points and 400 honour per month, with a gain of 13 on your health. Eight people can occupy this position. You need a social level of 18, but not greater than 62 to occupy this position. Your title must lie between Marquis/Marquise and Comte/Comtess to retain this position. This position allows you to hand out seven level one, five level two, three level three and one level four favours per season. When applying for this position, you need to submit proof of worthiness in the form of written Favours whose total levels equal or exceed 90.
